No need to install anything. You just install it on a thumbdrive at home and run it straight from USB.
I'm also not allowed to use removable devices with my work PC, for security reasons.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?
Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

I'm working on learning Gimp now, though I don't know when I'll have much time to mess with it. Anyone have a good tutorial or tips?

In general, my modus operandi for learning to do things is trying out buttons that sound related to what I want to do until I find the right one, or else use Google. If it#s only for making maps, you shouldn't need much more than working with layers and cutting out things, which are fairly basic.

Photobucket here. Not for any particular reason other than I had an account from making several hundred signatures for forums over the years.

for photo hosting I have a photobucket and a picassa account, though my picassa is mostly for hosting photo albums of my family. I also have my own domain and web site hosted through google apps for free so I toss stuff up there for references as well and it can be linked to just as easily. for instance this is from my site and is there as a reference for a F2F Wheel of Time game I'm in: edit: interesting google stopped letting it get redirected for some reason. So hotlinking it like that isn't a good idea, but you can still link the page if it is just for reference.

Put [img][/img] around the URL For example: comes up as If you ever wonder how someone has done something all you have to do is press quote on their post and you can read their code.

I spent 20 minutes making this map on inkscape. Learning curve was about 15 hours and this is the first map I made for combat. I assume my ability at drawing contour lines and realistic terrain will improve with time.
