So I’m playing a Binder/Fiend of Possession in a campaign and will be taking Leadership or Undead Leadership at 6. I’ve been looking around for a nice cohort to inhabit and use. I wanted one with a charisma based gaze attack and possibly survivability if they come in the same package. It's something different than the wizard, ubercharger, or king of smack that already inhabit the party. I’ve googled and searched through the forums, but I can’t find a good answer on this.

Not that he’s tough or anything, but just for fun I thought about taking a Bodak with the evolved template to bring the pain with a crazy death gaze. Using my CHA and boosts from feats, vestiges, and items, the DC for the gaze is hovering around 33 if within 10 ft. The template was just to counteract the vulnerability to sunlight and to get greater dispel magic for death wards.

He’s not awesome and there’s a ton of things that can shrug off the death effect like undead/constructs/etc. Is there anything better out there that I can optimize the crap out of? Base or template, it’s all good.
Tome of Battle is banned. Dragon mags are good.

How about a monk? Possess him as a weapon and add fun enhancements, add bloodlines for the win!
