Kel gives a quick nod to Rald Yeah. We can't stay here blind or we might end up with a couple of squads knocking on the door, and then it would be too late. Let's get to work.

Me and Rald will aid Silten to try and hack into the computer I guess since his base modifier is the highest of us 3.

Engrossed in slicing into the datapad, Silten almost misses that people are referring to him. Letting his mind catch up to the conversation he finally replies, "Yess, that would be for the besst.". He carefully considers the terminal for a moment recalls the standard features that populates the central computer of an XQ2 station. "It will definitely take the three of uss, pluss the sstations own sslicers are probably sstill at work in there. Thiss is not going to be very eassy."

Takes a 10 on knowledge Technology for a 19 and knows the standard specs for a station. Int 14 and Will 17. To improve access it will take a roll especially if the slicers are working to bolster it against further intrusion.

I assume you are taking 10s to assist then?

I have a +8 on Use Comp, so there's no reason for me not to. Actually, that's one of the skills I can assist with as a swift action, so I could assist both Silten and Kel if need be for +4's to both at the same time.

Yeah, taking 10 as well for 16 total. Not sure if boosting it to 20 via Rald's assistance does anything.

Nah to assist you just need to hit a DC 10 to aid another.

With three of his companions focused on slicing the computer network, Corran goes to Seela.
"So, now that we have a few moments, care to tell me who you are and what I've gotten myself into?"

Not to mention who these other people are and who that injured woman is. They were just caught up in this as well I guess?
Hrrm. I get the feeling we're going to be very busy in the immediate future.

Seela looks amused by the abrupt entry into her room but her lekku waver about in annoyance betraying her real feelings to those versed in that mode of conversing. ""Most people knock before entering a lady's room, what if I happened to be changing?" she smirks. You can smell a light perfume in the air. Her attempt at trying to lighten the air in her room before the air recyclers were working again.

"I don't mind at all telling you who I am, my name is Seela To'alak and up until a few standard weeks ago I worked for GNN." her lekku move about even more agitated at that proclamation. "Your turn."

With the three of you at work Silten begins to work at slicing into the central computer as you two work on secondary programming to get in. Halfway through the work the terminals shut down and the screen flashes;

System Lock Down has been initiated

"I think we made it mad..."

Silten's Use Computer check to improve the central computer's attitude: 1d20+15=22

"Should we try correcting this, or just make a run for it?" Rald questions, motioning to Silten's flashing terminal.

"I hope you know of a place to go this time," Rald says as he hurries back to where Maya is sleeping. Making sure his medical gear is secured around his chest, he gently picks her up. Knowing full well she won't sleep long during their flight doesn't change his desire to not wake her up early.

"GNN? Let me guess, someone higher up in the food chain didn't like the way your reports turned out? Free speech and whatnot's, not the most popular of things in a empire founded on anti-Alien, pro-Human bias and despotic tyranny." He smirks right back at Seela.
"The name's Corran Strakhov. Most call me Strakhov, a few call me Corran. I'm sure there's a lot of people that call me other things to, but they're wise enough not to do that to my face. I'm a freelance pilot."
He is about to continue, when Kel's voice catches his ears, interrupting him. His face turns very serious.
"Get your things Seela, it sounds as if someone screwed up something and we got to go. Now."

Ok, a former reporter acting up. Admirable. Stupid, but admirable. Not like I can cast any stones about doing admirable but stupid things though.

Anyone got access to a ship we can use to get out of here or are we 'borrowing' one?

"Sort of..." Maya says weakly as she exits Amon's room with Rald. "I cannot go anywhere until my mission is complete on this station. Thank you all for saving me but we are not out of the asteroid field yet I am afraid. I have a pilot lined up and will likely be able to get us all out of here when my task here is concluded. In my current condition though I am afraid I must ask more of you all, first we need to be away from here."

I'm willing to help if it gets me off of this station, but I need to know what your mission is first. We need to leave here before more bucket heads arrive on the station, otherwise we won't be leaving.

"Of Course, but I don't think we have much time for long discussions. Unless someone has a better spot to lay low, then I say lets head for Green Deck's docking bay 7. Hopefully the Captain can stow us away for a bit so we may talk." Maya leans heavily on Rald. It appears very clear she needs more time to recover and likely would not be fit for anything strenuous.

"I haven't been expecting things would be easy. I'm bound to help if I can, but I need to know what we're getting ourselves into. Let's get to that docking bay. The less time we spend on this station, the better, I feel."

Kel urges everyone to get movingDocking bay 7 it is then. I'm game for causing some more trouble to the bucketheads as long as the pay is good. You did say something about some credits up on the promenade didn't you? And if it isn't, I'm sure  I can 'persuade' your pilot to get me out of here once you lead me to him

Silten nods, agreeing with Kel.  "We need to get moving now before the sslicers disscover where we are."
