Haggard RiderFor the man to be named Haggard was ridiculous: He was anything but. Muscles bulged everywhere on his 6'7" frame. From his wrists and from the tops of his feet, four single large, curved claws extended outward. He wore rugged clothes over a shiny chain shirt. His skin seemed thick and leathery. His face had the rugged bony features of a Goliath.
When travelling, he usually bore a large Glaive with him, which he tended to drop to use his claws, instead. But he was known to charge into battle with the glaive extended, only to drop it after making contact. For his size, Haggard appeared quite nimble on his feet, and apt to dodge.
Haggard was outwardly a strict and tough man. He let no excuses count, a task begun had to be completed. This was sometimes contradicted by his rather weak will - to compensate, he picked physical tasks that he could complete. And riding on others was always easy. His aptitude for leadership was limited, but he liked (and called for) strict divisions of tasks and responsibilities.
History:Haggard came from tribe of Goliaths from the far north. He was a descendant from a line of leaders, but his family had lost the games prior to his birth, so he would not be able to lead the tribe. That made him free to do other things - such as travel, which he did from a young age, together with a sibling and a friend. He began training as a hunter at first, but his travels brought him in contact with other, stranger, arts. He learned that the power of an ideal could be shaped into physical form, and became a rather strange warrior, using his abilities to hurt and heal at the same time. Then he learned of the power of monstrous totems, and began shaping feral representations of them. He honed this talent, and eventually became quite adept.
Later he learned that there is strength in motion, and that motion alone could be focused into great destructive power. And finally, when one culminated the power of ideals and totems, motion and thought into one, that it left no choice but to adamantly stand fast, strive for one's goals, and destroy one's enemies.
He returned to the tribe for a brief period of time, in order to teach some of what he had learned, but he was quickly drawn out again - alone, now. He ventured far and wide, and finally met allies - powerful beings, of strange and varied heritage. Together, they became a force to be reckoned with, and ventured to join a special tournament, that promised rewards beyond measure to the victors - but only shame or death to the losers.
