Hey everyone,

Im playing in a 3.5 game thats been going on a while now.
In the next session or two were going to go head on with a bad guy. Now our information on his exact character build isnt great.

What we do know from dealing with him previously (as friends) is that he can cast both arcane and divine spells. Im nearly sure he has access to 9th level divine spells but im not sure what level access he has to arcane spells.

So im looking for ideas on how to deal with him. The strong odds are he will know were coming for him. Ive no doubt he will have some backup there but i can deal with whatever that is at the time.

The current party is about 12th - 13th level.
We have a priest, monk, sorcerer, warblade, rogue, druid and i play a priest.

Knowing that the bad guy will know the fight is coming he will be prepared which will make the fight damn hard i think.
Im looking for ideas on what wouldnt be expected to throw at him in the fight?

Im thinking a anti-magic field then drop a forcecage on his head could be funny.

Knowing my DM, this bad guy will have damn good saves, good HP and most likely high SR aswell.

Hire an elven arcane archer with access to Antimagic Field, have the AA ready an attack, then pull a scry 'n die by teleporting him (and the rest of the party) within shooting range of the enemy.

Then beat him to a greasy smear.

If he's immune to AMFs then dismiss the AMF, Dispel + Dimension Lock + barred Forcecage, followed by a bunch of cloud effects: Stinking Cloud, Acid Fog, etc. Pile on enough in one round and he'll die from asphyxiation if nothing else.

Masculine men like masculine things. Masculine men are masculine. Therefore, liking masculine men is masculine.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

You can't ready an action outside of combat...so pick a fight with a random npc first.

Meh. Just have the rogue slap the party BSF in the previous round.
