As someone new to this forum it did occur to me that I haven't seen any thread on acronyms. Everyone just uses them and I know that most of them gets explained in some obscure topic in between the 32 pages of topics.
But wouldn't it be easier to make a topic about the acronyms where people could explain what they meant?
I for one often realize what acronyms mean and then another time I run into it I've forgotten what it meant again.
I'll be updationg the list when people add comments with new acronyms. If you do decide to add acronyms I would appreciate it in the format that I've already done it in. For example in alphabetical order and with a ":" to split the acronym from the explanation. Oh and if you'd be so kind to split it between book acronyms (if there are any left) and other acronyms. Thanks in advance.
For claritys sake I'm splitting the list into 2. One for book acronyms and one for the other stuff.
So without further ado:

On a side note for personal assistance. I've seen others "hide" links to other topics behind some other text. Fx where I write "there is a topic about this thing on the forum" I'd like that to link to the actual topic.
But I don't know how to do that (call me noob or whatever). For now it is left as is untill someone is helpful enough to either write in here or PM with a guide on how to.

I don't know if the designers meant you to take Skill Focus for every feat.
Sounds a little OP.

The monk is clearly the best class, no need to optimize here. What you are doing is overkill.

It's like people who have no idea what a turn signal is. They ruin it for everyone else.
When another driver brandishes a holy symbol and begins glowing with divine light, seek cover or get spattered with zombie brains. I do not see what is so complicated about this.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Book:

PGtF: Player's Guide to Faerûn

Others:

ACP: Armor Check Penalty
Action Economy: The number and types of actions you can take in one round.
  • One fullround action or one move action and one standard action or two move actions
  • One immediate action or one swift action
  • A number of free actions, defined by your group

AoO: Attack of Opportunity
ASF: Arcane Spell Failure
BSF: Big Stupid Fighter
DC: Difficulty Check
IIRC: If I Remember Correctly
IMHO: In my humble opinion.
PP: Power Points
RNG: Random Number Generator. Would be 2d6 + mod for a great sword or d20 + mod for saving throw. "AC, saves are all off the RNG" means that you can't get to the DC with your throw.
StPE: Spell to Power Eurudite.  Turn whatever arcane spells you like into psionic powers that you know.
VoP: Vow of Poverty
YMMV: Your mileage may vary. Something like "your results/opinion may be different".

Here's Frank's review of the game, where he first mentions the terem "Mister Cavern".  It sort of stuck after that.  The review is pretty funny.
