I've been thinking about throwing together a handbook for Node Spellcasting abuse for reaching bonkers CL. Any interest?

I would be interested if only to find out what node spellcasting is.

I'm game. Let me know if I can help too. I don't know a whole lot, but I have enough time on my hands that I might be of some help.

I see that you want to solve problems. Not problems like, "What is beauty?," because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of 'philosophy'. You want to solve practical problems. F'r instance, how are you gonna stop some big, mean Mother Hubbard from tearing you a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work? Use more gun.
And if that fails try this

Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future. Speaking of which: Don't even need TO for this. Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu]. Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

iirc - way back on the old TO board, LordOfProcrastination got spell levels around 170+. (compared to 8s and 9s) Lots of work has been done since then; CLs have gotten boosted more; feats a million and Dragonwrought Kobolds, could add even more juice. etc ... Go for it BeholdS !

Oh shit, I need to update that thread sometime 3 months ago. Yes you do. I'm still waiting on the final result so I can have month-long undispellable buff spells.

Fuck grad applications, that's all I can say. And the month-long crash period afterward. And getting distracted by homebrew after that. And Dragon Age. I'll do what I can make myself over spring break, which is the week after next.

I'm gonna wait for the price to go down and for DLC to start being bundled with it. Paid 50 bucks for my copy of the first game and every single DLC pack released. That's the kind of deal I can go for.

After the failure of DA: Awakening (constant, unending crashes on a mid-end system), I've lost my faith in the engine and pretty much everything having to do with the series. I don't feel like paying for another game I can't play without a patch.

Hilariously, Awakening was stabler for me, but I suspect that's entirely due to the lack of mods I have installed for it and the plethora of mods I've installed for Origins. Anyway, I'm derailing this waaaaay to much. I express interest in this handbook, because I could steal the data for my own.

That'd be cool. I like character concepts that deal with their immediate surroundings...
...and not just because I DM more than I play. If you could expand the handbook to deal with nodes as a whole, rather than just abusing them, it'd be 100x more jazzy.

And by immediate surroundings you mean the surroundings of their oak tree right?

Sha'ir HandbookBinder HandbookQuote from: Negative Zero on November 04, 2009, 02:16:14 AM In my humble opinion, CO is haberdashery. Some say we're mad, but we can all agree we're hatters. Yes, we have potential to make very sophisticated hats, very fancy hats, be they dark or light. But the truth is that the color of the hat does not come from the group of us - our community doesn't directly produce hats. We simply give average head circumferences, list current fashion trends, and point out some shiny, obscure baubles to add to the latest hat line.
