Ok, how many complete turn arounds have there been so far?
-Fate army curb stomps girls.
-Negi curb stomps Fate army.
-New Fate army curb stomps Negi.
-Grandpa club curb stomps New Fate army.
-"God" curb stomps Grandpa club.

Well at least the author isn't using filler at all. I like his style of concentrated fast action.

Unless the next chapter is the "God" spending multiple pages gloating on how victory is his while holding Negi whitout killing him, giving more than enough time for the remaining cast members to mount a counter attack.

That wouldn't make much sense, because we've seen that Asuna's anti-magic struggles against high tier spells. Evangeline could freeze her for some seconds with a minor spell, and then there's the whole "trapped  on giant magic sphere thingy" which clearly laughs at her anti-magic.

Of course this means her anti-magic will be powered up to the stratosphere by the power of friendship/love from the other characters.

Cue the fate of the magic world being decided by a fist fight when the "God" proves to be some crazy kung-fu specialist that's hardly hindered by the loss of magic.

There's a 9th level spell in Frostbnurn that freezes a bunch of targets in blocks of ice. It doesn't care about AC and/or deflection bonus. Silly puppets only betting on armor class.

This one seems to be a homing freeze laser, in that it has multiple stages.
If it doesn't connect, it fills your surrounding area with ice, which traps you.
If it does connect, it freezes you, your surrounding area AND repeats the process every time.
If it doesn't connect, it also pursues you until it does, with what looks like rose vines made of lightning that turns to ice.
As its homing, it cannot be dodged, or at least, not easily.
It cannot be parried since its both a direct AND environmental attack.

So its basically a Forcecage cum Black Tentacles cum Shivering Touch cum Frostfell with the PF Persistent metamagic and Chaining.

Possible counters would be to negate the effect(with fire magic or antimagic), block line of effect(using earth magic or wood to create a tangible barrier) or simply outrun it(but as the Lightning Fate learned, its as fast as lightning). However, as the effect refreshes itself, you'd need a lasting counter effect, so just plain shooting fire at it won't work, you'd need a fire with a greater duration and presumably at least as hot as the fire spell Chao used.

As for the Asuna matter, shes basically being used to Cancel the whole Magic World there. I figure shes more powerful than has been shown before, but the key thing is our guys here are extreme badasses and it wouldn't take a full cancel to free time. If the effect can be weakened, then they can free themselves.

Anyone still reading bleach?:
so Ginjou stabbed him through the heart... that ended badly last time someone did that... when will the token badguys learn not to do that.

New records of ATX up!

First true SRW-style boss battle!

Excellen likes them big, strong and hot.

It's official, Ryusei plays with kid's toys at military bases. And at beaches when there's hot chicks around.

Poor Bullet gets broken, fixed, broken, fixed and then broken again.

Finally explained how the robot bugs kidnaped people so easily.

Damnit Excellen stop using defensive suport against the boss attacks!

The aerogaters just did their biggest mistake. They pissed off Kyosuke. Just look at his psycho eyes.

It might be just me, but Records of ATX has confusingly-drawn fight scenes even by manga standards. So the badassery is diminished for me because I can't clearly see what is going on. Well, sometimes it isn't. DEM SHIP TO SHIP BATTLES. More epic than mecha fights, and you know how I like mecha.

Anyway, I still like this series a lot because I get more insight into details of the setting they had no room to explain in the OG games. Also, hijinks. So much hijinks. Excellen never fails with that, but other characters are great too.

I've read only halfway through the newest release, but here's what I have to say so far:
Viletta in a suit. Just Viletta in a suit.

I thought for sure Ginjou was a villain right off the bat, but after having several chances to kill Ichigo I had to dismiss that. Now I'm a bit annoyed I dismissed it so easily!

Dantalian no Shoka 3 - two small stories instead of one long one
"Yes" counter: +3

lol at the ending of the first part - "Yeah, we have godlike intelligence, but we're too aware of the risks to do anything evil and too lazy to do anything good. You can pretty much just ignore us."

How many more deaths are they going to cover up? Tongue

Dantalian no Shoka
It's not as much as covering, more on how could they explain it to the authorities. "Why yes it was an extremely exotic cactus specialized in eating people once every 13 years and the burglars just hapened to appear in the night it bloomed. Wait, why are you bringing that straightjacket, I'm sane, SANE I TELL YOU!

That wisdom book really worked. Conquering the world is such an hassle. Why don't just take a safe well-paying job with your new super intellect and live well?

A giant carnivorous plant that atracts its prey with book-shaped flowers? Looks like one of Patchoulli's experiments for reinforcing her library escaped in the real world.

Also being some kind of ancient magic homunculus doesn't stop one from being bribed with candy.

Its not that, its that there's a book-shaped flower, in fucking Africa, to attract people. I didn't know botanical evolution was nudged in that particular direction where

"Hey there's a fucking lot of book-lovers in the fucking deserts of Africa."
