Thorden's charge misses. Aepa's sound orb strikes true. Serias shoots a jet of water at both wasps -> 4d6 = 12. Each wasp attempts to dodge:
Wasp 1 -> d20 + 2 = 20. Wasp 1 takes 6 nonlethal damage and is knocked out of the air!
Wasp 2 -> d20 + 2 = 12. Wasp 2 takes 12 nonlethal damage and is knocked out of the air!
You guys win!
I had debated throwing three at you guys, and I was afraid if they went early, the Dex damage would have been a real problem. It looks like it didn't matter too much.

I probably should have factored in the fact that they'll hit about 50% of the time, and realized that the party taking two hits from four wasps isn't that big of a deal on round 1. I suppose I could do a harder version of this fight, but I'm not sure if I'll learn much from it.

Well, I did learn something. Short ranges(if you look at our spells, you'd notice most are Close range) doesn't mean a whole lot when your enemy is melee based and you can ready.

So basically, enemies need one of the following 1) go first 2) outrange us 3) out dominate us(i.e. that Entangle) to be a contest, multiple of which might make them a real danger.
