Was thinking something like a beholder, with mini beholders growing off it's eyestalks. Cutting eyestalks causes new beholder buds to sprout. Sundered eyes eventually fractalize. Big Grin

Sorta like a hydra but with more lasers.

Drammor you want Dire Beholder to be tougher beholder or more unusual?

Both, I believe. More physically aggressive and capable, and with different eye stalks, but that doesn't suffer horribly in intelligence. Something that would really scare the pants off of players used to seeing the occasional beholder.
