Staff chick, or the Barrier Maiden (see 'tropes or google).
Still in early stages <wip>

Named Healer since it's the role it was supposed to have.

Oh, I'm all up for suggestions. F'r ex, the summon-focus thing might be something that'd picked as an Exaltation.

Summon Focus seems like it might be better as an option, yeah. Maybe some single-target debuffs? (hold 'em down while the hero stabs them in the face)

Hm. drop summons from default list, make the Staff Chick pick a style at first a'la ranger's archery vs. twf? But instead getting an expanded spell list ( at 1 spell / spell level ). Boss debuff vs. Yuna-styled summoning vs. ally buffing?

I mean, keep the list same, and the +1s to summons are mechanically fine as an exaltation, however the fluff limitation of always calling the same creature is kinda important.

Girl-class trope? Isn't that a tad sexist? Of course, this statement is coming from a guy that grabs girl ass at parties, so I'm not one to talk...

Nothing prevents a guy from being the Staff Chick. See the TVTropes link for more info.

Or The Chick, period. In Stargate SG-1 Daniel is The Chick. In Avatar: The Last Airbender Sokka is The Chick.

I'm a bit confused on Summon Ally.

Is it just one monster for each level (so SMI is the same doggie each time and SMXXI is the same Celestial each time) or is there just one monster period for the whole thing?

Because I'd feel pretty dang bad if the same doggie is summoned each time in SMI, and then I get level three spells and that dog is never seen again.  Or maybe I'd find it hilarious.

I don't like snow, I hate being cold, I hate outdoor pursuits, I hate the idea that I've got to "push my body to find the limit," I can't stand this stupid clothing that makes this rustling noise when you move all the time, and I hate the zips, and the toggles, and all the pockets, and that and I hate your stupid truck."

"Listen. If we make it, look at it this way: you will be the first person ever to go to the North Pole who didn't want to be there."

My intention was for it to be for each level. I was probably thinking of Final Fantasy-ish summons there. In ff6, there's just that one Ifrit and so forth.

It's one of the issues I have pushing summon ally to a talent of some sort --- if you can normally summon ANY monster and then suddenly are limited to just one... Isn't that sorta odd?
