Here's da rules: CombatCombat is closer to the fighting games than danmaku duels. Grazing does not exist, and no one calls out difficulty levels. The spell card system includes a "spell border" which makes attacks in the area non-lethal. Anyone can raise a border, and it persists as long as at least one combatant with remaining energy wants it to. The border cannot be moved once set, though it can be set relative to a moving surface. In addition, magic cast from spell cards is non-lethal automatically, while being more effective in duels than most conventional attacks. If you sufficiently disrupt a caster's concentration while using a spell card it results in "spell break", rendering the card unusable for a while and draining the caster of energy. Damage is around Nanoha-level. In other words clothing damage, knockback, and possibly bruises (though I don't recall ever seeing much in the way of bruises in Nanoha), and blood running down the face as indication of vague injuries after a certain time spent fighting, yes? The exact spells used aren't too important and can be general interpretations of their abilities (including non-offensive ones, like Reimu creating a barrier to break her fall). However, note that the following spell cards do not exist yet: - Love Sign "Non-Directional Laser" (Marisa, IN) - copied from Patchouli
- Love Storm "Starlight Typhoon" (Marisa, IN) - derived from above
- Boundary "Duplex Danmaku Bounded Field" (Reimu, IN) - copied from Yukari
- Border World "Hakurei Danmaku Bounded Field" (Reimu, IN) - likewise
- Magic Bullet "Test Slave" (Marisa, FW) - her fight with Cirno was its first test
Changes/FanonFor clarification: the PC-98 games happened; there are men in Gensokyo, just not many important ones. - The Scarlet Mist is corrosive enough to dissolve paper. Skin contact causes pain.
- Most characters are stronger on home ground for one reason or another.
- Rumia is illiterate, and her spellcards were created by Marisa. Night Sign "Night Bird" is a Survival card which surrounds Rumia with a bird-shaped aura which increases her speed and endurance while allowing her to create winds and fire shards of energy by flapping her wings.
- Cirno's powers function by absorbing heat, making her stronger in summer than winter. This does not make her body any more resistant to extreme heat than normal.
- The Scarlet Devil Mansion was transported to Gensokyo, including its fairy staff and the island it is on. It is surrounded by a barrier which extends from the walls, powered by Meiling's chi. Meiling has very large chi reserves (which is why she got the job), but the effort is enough to reduce her from an lv5 boss to lv3.
- Sakuya can create watering cans and other items which are larger on the inside than the outside.

Grazing does exist in the combat games. It refers to dashing headfirst through an enemy attack and taking no damage from it.

So no flying at high speeds while shooting and dodging? Awww... Well, more oportunity for lazer-fu I guess. So, I guess Reimu and Marisa team up. Will the bosses also team up, or we'll be fighting a series of 2x1? Or Reimu+Marisa vs Boss+fairy minions?

So, I guess Reimu and Marisa team up. Will the bosses also team up, or we'll be fighting a series of 2x1? Or Reimu+Marisa vs Boss+fairy minions? 2-on-1 mostly.

So I was going to start things with - Reimu is asleep or has just woken up. She will not notice the mist until she steps outside.
- Marisa is headed for the shrine or Kourindou. (She is unaware of Alice at this point)
That okay? EDIT: IC is up. MikoMiko Spark kenzan!

Out of curiosity, why would Marisa not know Alice? They're suposed to face each other in Mystic Square. They're the only neighbours in the forest of magic. And in PCB they act like old neighbours, with Marisa and Alice throwing insults at each other wich strongly sugest they already know each other Alice: Mage on the untamed fields! Marisa: Greenhouse Mage!

Where is Marisa's accent? It's not Marisa if she doesn't drop "sleeping in the open" to "sleepin' in the open" or at least "sleeping in the open ze". EDIT: You don't have to put it on every sentence!

I thought your preparation of breakfast was quite Yamato Nadeshiko. Can I make a request? Ask Rumia vague questions like "Are you responsible for this darkness?".

I thought your preparation of breakfast was quite Yamato Nadeshiko. I was briefly considering making a FSN-like skit, but ended up deciding against it. Honestly, though, if I was Japanese that's probably the kind of breakfast I'd make. Just rice and tofu, too lazy for anything else. Can I make a request? Ask Rumia vague questions like "Are you responsible for this darkness?". Hey, I talked about going out at night. That was a setup for the original dialogue. Speaking of which: Reimu Humans tend not to be able to [see at night]. Rumia Oh? But I've seen people who come out only at night. Reimu Then you can have them for dinner, if you like. Rumia Oh, is that so... Reimu You know, you're in my way. Rumia Are you the kind of person I can eat?
So yeah, Rumia asks if she can eat Reimu... after Reimu talks about eating humans. More random banter flanderized. Geez, fanon... (Mind you, hungry Rumia is pretty funny on occasion.)

Breaking into someone's house is less work than making your own stuff? Must be nice having super-strength.

Even if they live in space stations. You can just walk anywhere!
