The blade makes solid contact and the figure lets out a growl of frustation.

Klammeri's axe makes a nice deep, cleaving gash in the fallen figure, but it appears to still have some fight left in it as it tries to strike back. The attack falls short though, as the plants tighten on the body.

The cause of the noise becomes apparent as more figures from inside exit the building. The enhanced plants are able to ensnare four of them, but one makes it through.

Due to the rules of movement not allowing movement to end in an occupied space, those that failed their saving throws at the door way, got an extra square of movement.

Eldon is up.

Eldon urges Frodo to jump over the railing and attack the nearest figure; he then does the same think himself and heads in the direction Peter went.

Handle Animal: 1d20+8=12, Frodo Jump check: 1d20+8=27, Frodo attack: 1d20+3=6, Frodo damage: 1d6+3=9, Frodo Trip: 1d20+2=4, Eldon Jump: 1d20-1=8

Frodo moves: K10, K9, K8, jump over the railing to J8 (assume it's low enough for no damage), I7 and tries to attack 8.
Edlon moves to K8, jumps across the railing to J8 (if 8 beats the DC; if not, can I retry it this round? ) and moves to I9.

figure 8 needs to make a new Reflex save.

Frodo clears the stairs with the grace of a cat, but his attack is fruitless, even with the plants restraining the figure.

Eldon is able to clear the stairs as well, but with no where near the agility of Frodo.

Failed relfex 1d20+1=7

Railing has a DC of like 1, least IMO, as you can use it to help with the jump.

Peter is up.

Peter gives another glance up and down the street before turning back to urge the others on before more undead come their way.

Double move back to the alley to urge everyone on. If I meet Eldon, I'll stop moving early and ask where everyone else is, before moving back to the street again unless he says they are in need of assistance.

In a rush, the merchants and servers hurried down the stairs, and taking Eldon's and Peter's example, jumped over the rail about halfway down. Most had horror stricken faces, save the gnomes, who seemed to be starting to enjoy themselves after their little leap.

Shifting to defend against the newest foe, Harvdar swung his large axe, nearly cleaving the figure in two. "Back I say, back!" The figure crumpled to the ground, and the plants adjusted to the new position.

Alright, back in black (and jeans) and makin' a double post.

John moved quickly, maneuvering past the two dwarves to form a protective wall for the party to move past.

Doublemove to H8.

Seeing the figures coming faster out the door, Klammeri cured inside and pressed their advantage against a target that had moved to engage them.

To-hit: 13
Damage: 17

Frodo keeps growling and biting at the entangled figure:

Frodo successful mutilates the fallen figure, causing bits of flesh to splatter Harvdar, "Gah, can't you control that thing?" He asked in disgust, but after surveying the present state of the battle he quickly turns to follow Peter.

To Peter's right, down the street, he can hear some panicked screaming and shouting, followed by four running people coming into view. They make a dash for the door of a building a ways down the street, only to find it locked. They pounded and pleaded at the door, but it appeared no one was there to open it. All the while a dozen figures are quickly closing on their position. Seemingly at the last second the building's door opens enough for the fearful citizens to hurriedly squeeze in. The door doesn't get closed in time though, as a pair of figures slam into it, bursting into the building. A shrill scream sounds from the building before being cut short, and the rest of the figures file into the building.

Harvdar double moves to J15.

John moves towards the group, trying to form a defensive around the civilians.

Move to G13. Ready an action to attack any legal target hostiles that engage the group.

Meanwhile, Klammeri, who had no opponent nearby to engage, moved to the other end of the alley, ready to take on an attacker.

F8, ready an action to attack any foe that for some reason comes within range.

The figures at the door continue to struggle, but with no effect.

With the street apparently clear, for now, the patrons and staff hurry to follow their defenders. The gnomes and dwarves keep up as best they can, but it clear they will be lagging being in a foot race.

Peter gives one last glance around the street before hurrying across the empty roadway into the shadow of an alley.

Double move to cover unless any of those zombie-things hadn't entered the building.

The alleyway extends past both buildings before running into a third smaller one, the ally splits at this point.

Harvdar hustles forward, but his shorter legs are no match for the pace of the longer legged individuals.

There are more screams from the building, but they are growing fewer with each passing second.

On top of all of this, the storm that has been brewing all morning decides to spill over as rain begins to fall.

City map has been updated, and rotated to match the others, which I should have done to begin with.

We are going to go with a little abstract on the map for a bit, 5ft spacing a city is not what it is cracked up to be.

Red is the inn, yellow the building with the recent attack. The distant right line is another road.

John and Klammeri, in a surprisingly coordinated fashion, move down the alleyway as if flanking the group for protection. Klammeri, with his axe, keeps an eye on the door to the left flank, while John, nodding to Klammeri, raises his shield and guards the right flank and the alleyway.

John double moves to J17.

Klammeri double moves to F18.

Still held fast by the plants, the group’s pursuers remain by the door.

The non-combatants continue on, the fastest of the group getting halfway across the street, while the slower, got just to the street.
