I'm Tim, 48 years old, live in upstate NY. Just getting interested in RPGs for the first time. I'm a writer and podcaster, and curious about how playing RPGs might influence my writing. Looking for online or local gaming groups where I can learn.

Hi.
I was a member of the WotC Rebellion as you put it here. I left when they basically purged the 3.x community.
I spent time on the GitP forums since then, but I am getting tired of the uppity mod there. Thankfully Woodbandman there (not sure what his/her ID is here) invited me here a few months back.
So, what is this place like?
Also, what is a "pod cast"?

Ignore the kitten, it merely plots world domination.  Welcome Pika... This is a forum for gaming, of pretty much any variety. We have threads on video games, card games, etc. We have subforums dedicated to d20 or D&D 3.5, etc. As for what a podcast is: a program (as of music or talk) made available in digital format for automatic download over the Internet You should check out the BG's podcast and judge for yourself, though.  |

Welcome Pika, man of the Hello Kitty mini-fridge. We've got our wild bunch here, but most of the hardcore howling has abated these days. That said, there's not much a language filter here, so feel free to speak your mind compared to GitP and RstJ's rule. The "podcast" is the regularly scheduled (again, hooray) distillation of gaming and general advice and humor posted to the interwebz in audio format by Meg, Josh, and Zeke, the owners of this forum. |
