Hey, I'm a lurker of several months and general internet vagabond, here from the mythical land of 4chan.  Or WotC.  Whichever one is less likely to draw boiling hot rage.
4chan, gives more laughs too though. Welcome!

Actually, okcupid sent me over here.  Well... truthfully, I didn't even know what okcupid was until I googled it a second ago.. but I am sold on the evil meter that uses David Bowie and Seriously Evil as polar opposites.

I think I just found the show searching around iTunes for gaming podcasts.  I was already in the habit of listening to podcasts prior to my renewed interest in gaming, so I figured there'd be a bunch of gaming podcasts out there and I was right.  BG was one of the first I listened to because it had the best name.

Greetings all,
My name is Carl.  I am a graduate student at Penn State University.  I recently found the Brilliant Gameologists from the episode Meg did on the PodgeCast and decided to say hello in the forums.  From looking over the forums a bit they seem like a great place to have rules discussions and get feedback on house rules or game modifications.  I have been gaming since I was 12 and running games since i was 14 ( I am now 25).  One of the first RPGs i ever played was Deadlands and i still hold a great love for that game.  I enjoy playing DnD 3.5 and 4e, Hunter: The Reckoning, Hero System 5th ed, and Dark Heresy.  I have played d6 system Star Wars, The revised d20 Star Wars, Wheel of Time, Game of Thrones (the GOO version), Shadowrun, Rifts, 7th Sea, and Legend of the Five Rings.  Games that i own and want to try very much include Savage Worlds, Burning Wheel, WFRP, Saga Edition Star Wars, and a host of others.  I will also admit to having a deep seated needto play Bunnies and Burrows at some point in my life.  So as you can clearly see I am in fact a game junkie  Big Grin.  It is nice to meet you all and I am looking forward to posting here. Smile

Welcome Carl and the DMParagon!  Actual Scottsman?  Zeke will soon regale you with stories of how he lived in Scotland for 2 years, I'm sure Wink

I love 4e too- don't let anyone give you shit for that!  The game is great at what it does.

And Fizzlemeyer- that's awesome that my appearance on the Podge did work as marketing for this show!  Good to know, thanks!

Been lurking a bit thought I'd just post here, say hello.
Really am enjoying everything about this site and the podcasts.

I have always loved RPGs, but never got into D&D and the like
for random reasons. Just started a few months ago and have
been contracted by my group to start DMing because my
ideas are "interesting." Nervous and all that, came looking for
some advice and found this place.

Cheers,
ranlam

Welcome, ranlam.  I think it's safe to say we were all nervous when we started DMing, to one degree or another.  We don't bite.  Much.  Except when we do.  Wink

Greetings, fellow gamers and gamer podcast followers! As a token of friendship and goodwill from HeadGames Entertainment (and the associated HeadGames Podcast which some of you may know), I share the following image macro:

As HGP is itself establishing a sizeable presence in the Southlands (beyond the forested mountains of the Carolinian orcs and the Tennessean wild folk, alas no hot tree-dwelling lesbian chicks like Uwe Boll thinks there are) and forming a forum of its own, I say hello to all of you, and a special hello to Meg, who listens to our show and makes the comment sounds with her mouth.

'Sup dawg.

Hiya, I'm Rhig.
I learned about this forum by PMing Dictum Mortum back in the WotC CharOp boards asking him if he thinks its a good idea for me to make a Sovereign Speaker handbook. He said I should go for it and also told me that he doesn't go to the WotC boards much these days and sent me a link to this forum.

A little bit about me:
I'm 19-year old, live in Israel. Right now I serve as a medic in the IDF. I play D&D 3.5E every saturday (well, almost every saturday Rolls Eyes) and I have been playing for the last 4 years.
I used to play Magic: The Gathering when I had more time on my hands, and as for console gaming - I prefer RPGs and fighting games.

Hi. I'm a grad student at the end of my M. Sc., which means I have no time for anything. I decided that this meant that it would be a good time to join a new gaming forum.  Smile For pronoun purposes, I'm female.

I cut my teeth on Shadowrun (I think it was 2ed), moved into Rifts, then oWoD. Finally played some D&D (3.5) before wandering into the realm of indie games, where I think I'm happiest. I've recently had to put my D&D 4e game on hiatus, though, (grad studies eating my brain) and I'm getting nostalgic about Shadowrun again. Ultimately, I think my taste in RPGs is pretty varied.

Hi guys.

I'm Antarx from WotC CO forums, (in fact, I use this nick for every forum if available, so we may had seen each other in other forums.)
I started a few post on the CO boards, like "The 3.5 ranger handbook" and "The CO boards compilation in PDF".

I'm live in Spain and I'm 29 years old male. When I find time, I like to play D&D (3.5, of course), Call of thulhu (Chaosium), Star wars (WEG), 7th Sea, Vampire, Werewolf, Fanhunter, Anima Beyond Fantasy, Cyberpunk 2020, Shadowrun 3rd ed, and some others.
sadly, nowadays our game group is almost disbanded, so I spend time playing World of Warcraft. If not connected, I use to make wallpapers of my rpg characters with photoshop, paint miniatures or read comics. (You can´t be a child forever, but you can be an immature as long as you wish  Big Grin)

I arrived here by chance. I try my own nick on google, and I found my name in the "Handy links: Map to the world of Minmaxing" thread, and got curious about "the CO rebelion". I´m a bit disconected from the roleplaying news, so I registered here to ask what happened... and may be, stay here for some time.  Wink

Long story short, Wizards decided to "revamp" the forums a while before 4e's launch and the "Community" guy they brought in was an incompetent dick. He managed to confuse to confuse the hell out of everyone with his new layouts, deleted posts he didn't personally agree with, and ignored the opinions of others. And then he fired WizO_Autumn (aka Meg) for no reason - that was the last straw, basically.
