OK i need help on this.
Anti magic aura lvl 6
Greater spell immunity lvl 8 (empowered) spell immunities up to 6 lvl spells.
you can cast Anti magic aura, be immune to any and all cast, area of effect, ray,...all but touch spells, with your immunity, all your buff spells will still work, you cannot cast, anything but touch spells as they will be suppressed while in the anti magic aura.
low lvl war magic..fireballs etc would be used on the fodder troops...but the mage duels start looking like...hmmm awesome Xu ( Wu ) Asian films??...monk like touch attacks....
The DM's attitude is whats good for goose is good for gander...is shifts some power back to those wimpy fighters...(mage bias oops)
your thoughts of the ramifications??...

That post is not a very coherent whole. I am unsure what you're asking/talking about, or even if you're asking a question.
Are you suggesting a different version of
antimagic aura? One whichexcludes the caster himself? Thus he's vulnerable to touch spells, but not anything with a range longer than personal/touch?
How, in your opinion would that affect the game? Can you give an example or two?
