Drexs nods his head as he looks down at the giant. "I am perfectly alright with that. He seems to be agitated the longer we stick around, so he may not chase after us if we leave his territory. However, that may take some time for the poor dragon slayer who moves about half the speed we do."

Next in line... And it does its thing.
Alen scowls at Drexs, despite the fact that he knows what's being said is true, and flies 60 feet, all the while keeping an eye on the poised giant.
And Melkior is flying away while Alkazar and Roryn are readied.
Raynor would come up and fly towards where the druid ended up, knowing now that combat will have ceased once they realize that the giant's just protecting his area, as will Raptor.
The death giant stays there for a few rounds, taking pot shots at the dragonborn orc, but is unsuccessful at this point, and eventually stops.

Everyone continues towards where the druid and his companion have been waiting patiently for them.
Hovering above the trees so much as wind, Liabrand and Tolero have been quietly observing the being in the boat. It went across the lake, stayed there for a certain number of minutes, and then proceeded to sail the boat back across the water to the other side, where it is currently waiting. The being inside looks medium humanoid in size and shape, and wields no weapon short of the staffed rudder that it was using to guide the boat across.
The first to show up are Alkazar and Roryn, followed by Drexs and Melkior. The others will take a while longer to show up. If anyone needed healing, the concordant killer has two wands that he could easily use to fix you up. Namely a wand of cure moderate, and a wand of cure serious. The rest of his wands are unfortunately meant for offense of defense.
((What would you like to do?))

On his way there, keeping up with Alenatarion, Melkior casts heal to return his HP to full, then he casts a persisted Righteous Wrath of the Faithful.
So should we introduce ourselves? Melkior Whispers to the others.

((You'll have no problem keeping up with Alenatorion. For simplicity sake, introductions would just be a briefer description of the background they wrote up on the board.))
The water-orc dragonborn looks at Melkior confused by the question. "I thought we had introduced ourselves. My apologies. I am Alenatorion. A dragonborn of Bahamut, and hunter of evil dragons."
Drexs too was taken a bit back. "I too had thought I'd told you my name. I am Drexs, a concordant killer. Hired by Ehlonna to find the druid, Jaccob, who is answer her many questions about what's going on here, including where one of her followers who was sent before me, is. I was hoping the dwarf, Roryn, would be able to help, but it seems like he's unable to do as such."

After everyone starts to show up, Rezzik explains the situation at the lake to Melkior, as he was the one that had noticed this place and the boat drifter in the beginning.
"So while we were waiting for you, we've been watching that boat guy. He went across the lake to the other side, waited a while, and now he's back on this side, waiting. Do you want to go down to see him, or carry on?"

Well, Alenatarion and Drexs; I think you just saved my life back there. For that I am grateful.
Melkior looks toward the man in the boat.
Should we just fly down there and say hello? Or would you prefer watching him?

"We could watch him for a little bit longer, but I don't think he'd do much else than what he already has."
"I'm fine with either. He doesn't look like an evil dragon, but I'm curious as to why he's exposed to the open like that."
"I wouldn't mind knowing if he could tell me where the druid is."
Roryn looked down, and stroked his beard, thinking aloud. "When did we ever get a ferryman for the lake? I don't recall him being here last week when I left. I guess he could have been, but we so rarely come by the lake now." The dwarf almost seemed perplexed with the scene. "And why hasn't the croc attacked, yet? Is it sleeping? Or maybe someone defeated it. Hmm."

Spot checks for Alen, Rez, and Des, in that order. 1d20+1=19, 1d20-3=12, 1d20+14=20

1d20+11=22, 1d20+10=14So Melkior gets the DC 22 spot but Alkazar is blind as a bat. The trees seem singed. Could the dragon be nearby? Alentarion, you seem to be familiar with dragons, would you be able to know it's colour from the roars we heard earlier?

Alenatarion shakes his head. "No, not really. I can narrow it down though. It's not a metallic dragon. They're more majestic sounding. Given the deep sounding bellow though, I'd guess it's older than a mature adult, but younger than a great wyrm."

Roryn and Drexs (spot and knowledge) Dwarf 1d20+6=23, 1d20+9=12Concordant Killer 1d20+32=52, 1d20+29=44((Drexs sees and knows all. And he's the NPC.)) Curious as to what Melkior and Alen were talking about, Roryn and Drexs look around the area. "You're right. It is singed. I guess that means the red dragon's been around here. At least I think it was red. Yeah, it was red. Well, mostly red. I think Jaccob said something about it being a dragon half-breed with another dragon. We were to hunt him tomorrow morning for one of the clients. He had wanted a white dragon, but we had to compromise with this creature instead. It might be a red and white mix. Couldn't say for sure." The dwarf could only shrug as he was thinking about what it could be. "I'm sorry to alarm you guys, but no dragon did this. The trees are blackened like it's been singed, yes, but it's not burnt at all. Take notice that also the rocks have large cracks in them or have crumbled to nothing." Drexs pointed towards the forest beyond the lake. "We've got the worst kind of corruption imaginable here. This island is infested with evil, and it's not only killing all plant life, but it's producing lesions on the soil and turning everything evil. We'd be alright because we're not evil, but if someone who was were to touch that, they'd be corrupted and empowered with all the evil of the creature who produced those cysts."Pointed out, everyone can take a look at what Drexs sees. For the first time in a while, Roryn is completely speechless. This is the first time he's seen this. "Moradin save us all."

@Stormcrow "Oh, I can tell you what would happen. Well, could happen. You summon evil devils. Those blemishes would call to them like a siren calls sailors. They would touch it, be absorbed by it, and a corrupted version that kills anything good would be spit back out. At the same time, once it's dealt with said goodness, they would return to normal. At least, that's the hypothesis. This is the first time I've seen one personally, but I've heard the stories."

Is there any hope of destroying those cysts and curing this area? I would not like it if those demons found these cysts. Melkior says, seeming for the first time a tiny bit worried.
